Scene 80: The Battle for Iceland (Part Four): A Final Stand?

With Azhur and his knights causing a wild chase among the Lasadag Lions,
they were led into a trap. The spear and sword assault wings of Dernu,
Gernu and Eladanditi, swung into action as the central force of Bryoan
and Orlastor formed a shied wall and Gyffur's missile force fired from
behind. It was, by any accounts, a complete rout as the Sartarite forces
had numbers, discipline and position.

But the cheers that rose from Bryon's force was short lived, for they
saw what confronted them ahead. A massive central force of Lunars, well
armed and amoured, chanting the praises of their military forces. To
their left were the traitorous Tarshites, with an array of random
weapons and, in direct contrast to their right, the steadfast and
perfect formations of the Sun Dome files, spear and shield raised as
one. An estimation would place the Lunar forces having advantages of
number, weaponary and probably skill.

>From the rear, a small contingent of wind children landed near Minaryth,
Eurynome and Jareena. "We apologise for being late; it is so much harder
to fly when the breath of Orlanth does not raise our wings. But we have
come to warn you, from up high, we saw the worst thing imaginable. It
comes... Look!" The slight being pointed its javelin far into the
distance of the grey-white sky.

Jareena stretched and looked towards where the wind child had pointed.
Far in the distance, but far too close for anyone's liking, there was an
unmistakable red dot on the clouds.

"The Crimson Bat", she whispered.

At the same time, Karala's wolf let out our low, but perceptual growl.
Her Telmori colleagues around her nodded. "Our people. They come."


OOC: You could do with a challenge.. :)  So here is the Crimson Bat,
chaos Demon bound to the services of the Red Goddess and the Lunar
Empire.

Abilities
Strong 1W8, Big 1W5, Fly 13 (currently at -10 due to lack of wind - it's
moving *very* slowly), Create Wind (normally a STR 1W3 wind, but not
operable at the moment), Breathe Acid 15W3, Tongue Grapple 15W3 (*4),
Bite 15W3, Magic Resistance 10W 
Armour: Reduces any damage by 6 levels, Regenerates 2 levels of damage
per scene.
Weapons: Acid Breath +6, Bite +25, Tongue +6, Maddening Keen - causes
all those who have less than 3 abilities rated 17 or less to become
demoralised.
