*nods* That would be built into the armour's AV.

In addition the EL bonus for Shields is supposed to reduce damage, and
as it is written this could mean for all damage or for normal hits
alone.

I'm going to have to make a ruling that when a helmet AV is supposed to
apply for Severe and Deadly this is meant in the exclusive sense.

So Mori has been lucky so far!
