In the name of Yelm the Sun, and Yelmalio, Son of the Sun God.

The rains have come and the Zola Fel has risen. The beating heat of Fire
season, the wetter months are usually a reprive for the inhabitants of
Prax. But it is not the case this year. Despite our successes against
the broo, disease still spreads, although it is largely concentrated in
the east and south of Sun County and the north and east of the Lunar
Grantlands.

I have, once more (and by Yelm's grace I am tiring of this), been called
to Duke Rauss's audience chamber. I understand his concerns; over the
past weeks the Newtlings have become most rebellious. There even have
been reports of attacks and deaths among Lunar settlers, although
established inhabitants of the riverside have no such news. 

Duke Rauss informs us that his right-hand-man, Daine, had heard reports
from the mercenary newtlings that a new cult or somesuch had formed that
would drive the settlers from the land and end the disease. Well Daine
went with them, and also with the mayor apparently. But they have not
returned and all the newtlings in the Duke's employ have absconded.

This is bad. If there's a real newtling rebellion against settlers, not
only will the Lunars be affected but perhaps it will spread to Sun
County as well. Even though we have been here for hundreds of years we
are still treated as strangers; and years of mistreatment has not made
us popular among the newtlings.

It bodes poorly.

The farms, at least, are beginning to turn an income.
